Melbourne instore and live review by Rhyanna

hi david! my names rhyanna from adelaide. i'm actually a close friend of nathans, and i came over with him to melbourne for the stapping concert. that's one day i'll never forget!!! i had the best time over there, i saw you at the instore, but i didn't meet you when nathan did. it was so wild meeting devin and the band. i got some really cool photo's with them, and a cool photo of me with gene hoglan sitting on his knee. he'd have to be the coolest drummer i've ever met. my mission for the weekend was to get one of gene's drumsticks, cos we came all the way from adelaide, and he said to me at the instore that he'd keep one aside for me, but i didn't think he would. anyway, to cut an incredibly long story short, i got really squashed at the concert (with bruising i'm still getting over) and missed out on getting a drumstick. after the gig though gene came out from backstage and i saw him and he gave me a drumstick he used in the gig. well it probably doesn't really sound that exciting to anyone else, but my mission was completed for the weekend. i wasn't expecting to meet them all, and i got my little piece of strapping to remember gene by. i was looking up some stuff on gene today on the net, you've probably undoubtedly seen it already, and i found this foul photo of gene sitting down with one of his balls hanging out!! that's something i really didn't want to see of him. anyway he's still the most insane meanest drummer i have ever seen. it was so wild to meet Devin as well, i love him so much, and i love ocean machine just as much as strapping. maybe even a little more. a friend of mine got some excellent photo's of them playing live too, as she was right down the front the whole gig. it was really cool because jed kept coming up and posing for her. i'll try and send you some photo's of the gig. there's some pretty good ones especially of jed and Devin (MMMMM). nathan's heaps pissed at me though co's the photo of him and Devin at the instore was taken by me and i accidentally cut Devins head off in the shot cos i was so nervous about meeting him. oops. they were all so cool though, i had the best weekend, all the metal people are so cool in melbourne. well i must go, i'm really sorry i've chatted for so long, but i can't stop talking about seeing strapping ever since we got back home. i can't wait to see them when they come in feb again. i'm fully hanging out to see them again. once again, i'm sorry if iv'e bored you completely shittless. oh and by the way how's your deftones chic friend? i think she was a little pissed at us paying the shit out of them to her. well i'm finally going now, catch ya. write back if you can, rhyanna.
